Job summary

Providence Swedish Cherry Hill is seeking a Nutrition Screening professional to join a multidisciplinary team. You will screen inpatients for nutrition risk factors, verify data, and refer patients with nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian.

You will monitor and support nutrition care for patients not followed by the RD and assist with diet progression and meal selections as needed. Join Providence Swedish Cherry Hill to contribute to patient-centered, whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition (or Completion of Dietetic Technician program) as required.
• Completion of Dietetic Technician program (approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) as required.

Responsibilities

• Screen inpatients for nutrition risk factors and verify relevant data.
• Refer patients with nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian.
• Monitor and support nutrition care for patients not followed by the RD.
• Counsel patients and families on diet progression and meal selections.
• Collect and calculate nutrient intakes and assist with meal planning.

Job description

This position is a member of a multidisciplinary team. Responsible for screening inpatients for nutrition risk factors. Verify and relevant data and refer patients with nutrition problems or evolving nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian (RD). Monitor and support the nutrition care of patients that are not followed by the RD. Assist and counsel patients and families in diet and diet progression, collect and calculate nutrient intakes, and assists with meal selections when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition --or--
  • Completion of Dietetic Technician program (approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months of food service or nutrition care experience in a hospital setting
