Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a per-diem Nutrition Services Assistant to assemble and deliver meals to patients, visitors and caregivers in a high-volume hospital setting in Seattle. You will handle card payments and support daily operations with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.

Required: HS diploma or GED, 1 year customer service, 6 months food service experience, and a National Food Handler Card at hire. Department: 3903 SCH NUTRITION SVCS. On-site schedule.

  • 1 year of customer service experience and 6 months of food service experience preferred.

Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service maintaining compassion and empathy at all times. Assemble and deliver patient, visitor and caregiver meal orders in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to patients' rooms or designated locations. Process credit cards transactions accurately. Able to adapt and support operational needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
