Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Nutrition Services Specialist to screen inpatients for nutrition risk factors and verify pertinent data. You will refer patients with nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian (RD) and support nutrition care for patients not followed by RD, while assisting with diet progression and nutrient intake calculations.

You will also counsel patients and families on diet choices, and help with meal selections when needed, contributing to our patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition is required.
• Completion of Dietetic Technician program (approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) is required.
• 6 months of hospital food service or nutrition care experience preferred.

Verify and relevant data and refer patients with nutrition problems or evolving nutrition problems to the Registered Dietitian (RD). Monitor and support the nutrition care of patients that are not followed by the RD. Assist and counsel patients and families in diet and diet progression, collect and calculate nutrient intakes, and assists with meal selections when necessary.

Required Qualifications

Pay Range

$31.23 - $45.69

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
