Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Dietary Technician to assist in menu selection, calorie calculations, and patient interviews for dietary intake. You will aid in nutrition assessments and support nutrition therapy as implemented by Registered Dietitians.

The role involves adherence to professional standards and state regulations. Qualifications include a high school diploma; Dietetic Technician Diploma preferred; CPR/health certificate as required; and at least 18 years old with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dietetic Technician Diploma preferred or may be required by state or client contract.
• One year experience as a Dietary Technician preferred.
• CPR certification if applicable and health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with menu selection and calculations.
• Support patient tray line and calorie counts.
• Conduct patient interviews for food preferences and intake.
• Assist in nutrition assessments and monitoring of therapy provided by Registered Dietitians.

Job description

The Dietary Technician is responsible for assisting with menu selection and calculations, patient tray line, calorie counts, patient interviews for food preferences and intake. The Dietary Technician assists in providing nutrition assessments, implementation and monitoring of nutrition therapy that is provided by the Registered Dieticians.

• High School Certificate (or equivalent)
• Dietetic Technician Diploma Preferred, may be required by state or client contract
• Food Services Management Experience Preferred
• One year experience as a Dietary Technician preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
