Job summary

Shawneespring is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for a skilled nursing facility. You will supervise the dietary department, assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and conducting activities to provide nutritious meals while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role involves supervising staff, participating in menu input and PI audits, and coordinating with the dietitian/diet tech. A high school diploma is required; culinary/management experience is a plus.

• Works well with others and maintains effective communication with kitchen staff to ensure teamwork and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Chef and assists in management of food service operations.
• Aids in orientation, training and supervision of dietary staff.
• Participates in inservice program to ensure quality standards.
• Ensures staff properly use and clean dietary equipment.
• Conducts meal rounds to supervise meal delivery and accommodate resident preferences.
• Supervises all work areas including prep, production, stock rooms and dish room; maintains safety and sanitation.
