Atlantic Shores in Virginia Beach is hiring a Dietary Supervisor to lead the dietary team and support healthcare dining services. You will supervise meal setup, ensure nutritional screening, and deliver high-quality patient-centered service to residents and families.

The role reports to the Food and Beverage Manager for Healthcare Services and emphasizes training, sanitation, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting. A strong leadership presence is essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years related experience in food service operations; healthcare setting preferred.
• Must have thorough knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition.
• Ability to lead a diverse group and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary staff in meal setup and serving in the Healthcare Center dining rooms.
• Assist in ensuring initial nutritional screening is provided and documented in medical records.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and families or guests.
• Oversee staff training and ensure adherence to infection control and sanitation standards.
• Support the Food and Beverage Manager for Healthcare Services in daily operations.

This position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager for Healthcare Services.Supervises dietary staff in set up and serving of meals in the Healthcare Center dining room and assisted dining room.Assists in ensuring that initial nutritional screening is provided to facility residents and that such screening is documented in their medical records.Provides proper customer service to residents and their families or guests.Oversees the thorough job training for Healthcare Dietary Personnel.Maintains healthcare objectives, standards, infection control and sanitation practices.Education and/or Experience:High School graduate or equivalent.A minimum of two years related experience and/or training in food service operations.
