Lionstone Healthcare in Loveland, OH is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to lead our dietary team and ensure high-quality nutritional services for residents. You will coordinate daily operations and collaborate with Nursing and Social Services to meet patient needs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and the ability to plan schedules and supervise staff while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and the public.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Dietary Department and its activities.
• Coordinate dietary activities with Nursing, Environmental and Social Services.
• Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and scheduling dietary personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations in dietary areas.
• Monitor inventory and place orders for equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

Administrative Functions

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Dietary Department, its programs, and activities
• Coordinate dietary and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Environmental, Activity and Social Services, etc.)
• Assist in developing and maintaining written dietary policies and procedures
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies

Personnel Functions

• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting dietary personnel
• Schedule department work hours, personnel, work assignments, etc.
• Assist in standardizing methods in which dietary tasks will be performed
• Review and check competence of dietary personnel and make necessary adjustments or corrections

Staff Development

• Assist in developing and implementing an effective orientation program for new dietary personnel
• Encourage dietary staff to attend and participate in training programs
• Participate in continuing educational programs to keep current with changes in the profession

Safety and Sanitation

• Monitor dietary service personnel to assure compliance with established safety regulations
• Ensure that dietary service work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner
• Participate in fire safety and disaster preparedness drills

Equipment and Supply Functions

• Recommend equipment and supply needs to the Dietary Director
• Place orders for equipment and supplies
• Ensure adequate inventory control procedures are in place

Resident Rights

• Honor the resident's refusal of treatment request
• Inform the resident of consequences of not participating in prescribed therapy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel, and the general public
