Kennebec Assisted Living and Respite Facility in Farmingdale, Maine, is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to lead dietary staff and oversee daily food service operations for residents. • High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous dietary supervisor experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare dietary regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Dietary Aide staff.
• Comply with production, handling, and quality food standards related to patient food and clinical nutrition areas.
• Oversee and assist with meal preparation and service based on established menus and policies.
• Ensure adherence to dietary restrictions and diet orders within guidelines.
• Support quality assurance through audits, in-services, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment for residents and staff.
• Monitor patient diet updates and food production and service procedures.
• Assist patients with friendly, personalized service.

Job Summary:

The DietarySupervisoris responsible forcreating high-quality meals and dining experiences for residents by supervising and supporting dietary staff, coordinating daily food service operations, andparticipatingin meal preparation and service. This position ensures compliance with applicable regulations, food safety standards, and established policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• PreviousDietaryCoordinator orSupervisor experience in a skilled nursing, intermediate care, memorycareor long-term care setting preferred.

• Ability to interact with a multitude of various personalities and respond with patience,concernand a positive attitude.
