Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Dietary Supervisor Assistant to direct and oversee all Dietary Services in our facility. The role requires coordinating staff schedules, ensuring coverage for each shift, and maintaining compliance with local and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include inventory management, purchasing, and assisting cooks with production. The incumbent will train staff, supervise tray line operations, and visit residents to discuss

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory skills and willingness to cooperate with Facility leaders.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures and record keeping.
• Basic math skills, computer applications, and food service production experience.
• Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• HIPAA compliance; maintains confidentiality and resident rights.
• Must read and follow Facility/Corporate policies.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and supervises all Dietary Services in accordance with regulations.
• Prepares and monitors daily work schedules for staff; ensures adequate coverage.
• Assures adequate food supplies by ordering, purchasing and stocking per policy and budget.
• Conducts inventories and checks in orders and stock.
• Monitors dietary equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
• Oversees sanitation, training, and in-service education for dietary staff.
• Assists with orientation, training and production as needed.
• Visits residents to discuss dietary needs and preferences; documents information.
