Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and supervises the ongoing operations of the dietary services department.
• Plans and prepares menus and special diets.
• Maintains records of menu changes and special diets.
• Orders food supplies and verifies invoices and weights.
• Sets and monitors daily staff schedules.
• Ensures compliance with sanitary requirements and proper food handling.
• Visits with patients to determine dietary needs and preferences; communicates diet instructions as ordered.
