Job summary

Avir at Treemont is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operation of the dietary department in a long-term care setting. You will plan menus, supervise staff, ensure food safety, and coordinate with nurses and dietitians to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, budget and inventory control, and promoting resident dignity and quality dining experiences. Strong leadership and clinical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• CDM or CFPP credential is required or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, therapeutic diets, and long-term care operations.
• Leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate menus meeting residents’ nutritional needs and preferences.
• Supervise dietary staff and ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and proper temperature controls.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for inspections.
• Manage budget, inventory, and costs; monitor invoices.
