ProHealth Care is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support nutritional care by coordinating diet information through EMR and the hospital room service system, and by acting as a link between patients, nursing units, and the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

You will handle diet changes, assist with menu selections within dietary restrictions, monitor nutrition data, and help with data entry and light food preparation.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–4 years relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.

Aufgaben

• Use EMR and room service system to obtain current diet information for each patient.
• Monitor EMR to ensure all allergy data is entered in the room service system.
• Process diet changes promptly as required.
• Answer calls and voicemails to assist callers accurately.
• Guide patients on menu selection within dietary restrictions.
• Track carbohydrate counts and sodium levels per diet orders.
• Verify tray accuracy with patients by reading back selections.
• Update diet and nutrition orders with care and accuracy.
• Answer questions on approved diets.
• Notify the Dietitian of questions or non-adherence to prescribed diets.
• Clarify diet orders with the dietitian or nursing staff.
• Perform data entry tasks as assigned.
• Complete basic food preparatory tasks as assigned.
