Job summary

The Orchard in Ridgeland, MS is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and service for residents. You will follow recipes, assist with dining areas, and ensure high food safety standards.

This role requires patience, strong communication with residents and team, and the ability to stand for long periods. A high school diploma or equivalent is expected, with food service certification a plus.

• Setting up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
• Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations.
• Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning.
