Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate to ensure patients, visitors, and staff receive nourishments that meet dietary needs. The role includes stocking nourishments, preparing cold and hot items, tray line work, room service, and cafeteria service.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to meet patient, visitor and staff nutritional requirements.
• Replenish nourishments and floor stock; prepare cold and hot food items; work tray line/room service line; dish-room; patient tray delivery; operate cash register and manage money.
• Serve cafeteria guests and cater to service needs; assist with cleaning and related duties as required.
• Take temperatures as required and maintain cleanliness and safety in food service areas.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: Ability to read and write and follow multiple-step processes normally acquired during elementary school. High school graduate preferred.
• Experience: Knowledge and experience in food service desired. On the job training provided.
