Port Washington Post Acute in Bremerton, WA is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee the food service operations at one of our skilled nursing facilities. This full-time, department-head role emphasizes nutrition, safety, and team development to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents.

You will lead menus, supervise staff, ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborate with nursing to accommodate special diets.

Qualifications

• CDM credential or willingness to obtain within required timeframe.
• Leadership experience in dietary/food service management, healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition, and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily dietary department operations.
• Ensure menus meet nutritional needs per physician orders and guidelines.
• Oversee meal preparation, service, and presentation to high standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage department budget.
• Collaborate with nursing and care teams on special diets.
• Conduct kitchen inspections and ensure food safety compliance.
• Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
