Job description

We need a Full-Time Dietary Manager to join our team at Villaspring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Erlanger, KY.

$16 to $25 Per Hour

You’ll help the chef supervise an efficient & effective dietary department. You’ll assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the dietary department as they provide nutritious & palatable foods to our residents.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Assisting in the management of food service operations
• Assisting in the orientation, training & supervision of the dietary staff
• Assisting with the in-service program to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Ensuring all staff can appropriately use & clean dietary equipment
• Conducting meal rounds to supervise meal delivery and be available to residents & families regarding food preferences & suggestions
• Acquainting yourself with the “likes and dislikes” of the residents
• Overseeing work areas including preparation, production, stock rooms & dish room to maintain safety and sanitation standards
• Providing input in menu planning & development
• Completing PI audits for the Chef as assigned
• Assisting with inventories and stock rotation
• Assisting with performance evaluations & discipline for dietary employees
• Communicating with the dietitian/diet tech & other disciplines to ensure teamwork and quality care
• Filling in for any position in case of call-offs

You’ll Need To Have:

• A high school diploma
• Management and culinary experience is beneficial
