Job summary

Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS is seeking a Dietary Manager for a full-time role. The position supervises dietary services, plans meals, maintains safety and sanitation, and ensures service of all diets in accordance with standards.

Responsibilities include orienting and training new dietary staff, providing ongoing in-service, supervising equipment, managing inventory and budgeting, and contributing to disaster planning for the dietary department.

Qualifications

• Certification as Dietary Manager required.
• Experience leading dietary staff preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation in dietary services.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for the orientation and training of new dietary personnel
• Provides ongoing in-service for dietary personnel
• Supervises the use and care of all equipment
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures pertaining to dietary department
• Ordering of food supplies
• Receives and checks incoming supplies
• Plans menus, adhering to budget
• Maintains accurate time records for dietary employees
• Responsible for the part of the disaster plan that applies to the dietary department
• Inventory of food supplies and equipment monthly
• Plans and prepares meals for special meetings and parties
• Other duties as assigned
