Job summary

Legacy Health Services is seeking a Dietary Manager who can lead meal production for long-term care residents, ensure safety, and tailor meals to therapeutic diets.

You will manage costs, hire and train staff, collaborate with dietitians, attend care conferences, and help new residents feel at home.

Qualifications

• Must have passed or is willing to take the CDM/CFPP exam.
• At least 2 years of experience in long-term care or hospital food production.
• Leadership skills, a love for food, and a heart for healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every plate is safe, tasty, and tailored to therapeutic diets.
• Control food, labor, and supply costs.
• Coordinate orders to prevent shortages.
• Keep the kitchen spotless and infection-free; manage cleaning schedules.

• Collaborate with dietitians to meet resident preferences.
• Attend care conferences and resident council meetings.

What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Recipe for Success):

• Oversee meal production for our long-term care residents
• Make sure every plate is safe, tasty, and tailored to therapeutic diets

• Keep food, labor, and supply costs in check
• Coordinate orders like a pro—no one likes running out of coffee or ketchup

• Keep the kitchen spotless and infection-free
• Manage daily and deep-cleaning schedules like a boss

• Hire, train, schedule, and support your foodservice crew
• Be the mentor they didn’t know they needed

• Collaborate with dietitians to meet resident preferences
• Attend care conferences and resident council meetings
• Meet new residents and make them feel right at home

What You Bring to the Table:

• Willingness to take (or already passed) the CDM/CFPP Exam
• At least 2 years of experience in long-term care or hospital food production
• Leadership skills, a love for food, and a heart for healthcare
