Job Description

As a Dietary Manager at Miller’s, you will lead a team to ensure proper meal delivery at scheduled times, adhering to regulations and company policies regarding infection control and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
• Pass physical examination for employment within the facility
• Complete required orientation and training; follow written and verbal instructions

Essential Functions

• Consult with Dietitian on menu planning, therapeutic diets, and nutritional care
• Prepare work schedules
• Procure food and supplies using approved vendors, maintain weekly inventory
• Supervise sanitation and housekeeping in kitchen and dining areas
• Maintain dietary department equipment
• Complete dietary assessments with medical and nursing staff
• Participate in resident care meetings
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
• Review and update staff job tasks and conduct employee evaluations
• Hire, train, and supervise dietary staff, maintaining a harmonious work environment
• Ensure adherence to dietary policies and procedures
• Maintain resident dietary records
• Coordinate with facility administration on policies, budget, and operations
• Interview residents for food preferences within 24 hours of admission
• Control department costs, maintain food quality, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Delegate tasks appropriately
• Attend mandated meetings and complete required inservices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Exposure Category II: Tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but unplanned Category I tasks may occur.
