Job summary

AVIR Health Group seeks a Dietary Cook for a 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift. The role focuses on preparing meals for residents with regular and modified diets, ensuring compliance with state health rules and facility standards.

You will work in a team-oriented environment, supporting residents, guests, and staff. Responsibilities include using various cooking techniques, adjusting recipes for portions, and supervising kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook foods for regular and modified diets.
• Adhere to state health rules and facility standards.
• Test and adjust recipes for portion sizes and dietary needs.
• Cook in batches while maintaining quality and appeal.
• Direct and supervise one or more kitchen staff during meal service.
