Job summary

Height Street Skilled Care in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook to prepare meals per federal, state, and local guidelines and facility policies.

HEIGHT STREET SKILLED CARE, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY IN BAKERSFIELD IS HIRING A (FULL-TIME) DIETARY COOK.

The primary purpose of your job position is to prePare food in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by Director of Food Services and/or Administrator, to assure that quality food service is provided as all times.

Shift: Full Time (4 days on 2 days off rotating schedule)

Job Summary:

• Review menu prior to food preparation.

• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident.

• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. for submissionto the Dietary Director.

• Coordinates Dietary service with other departments as necessary.

• Works with the facility's Dietary Director as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.

• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

• Assists in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.

• Processes diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Departments.

• Develops and maintaisn a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
