Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service or dietary setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows planned menus and prepares food items for resident and staff meals.
• Plans cooking schedule to have food ready to serve on time.
• Prepares foods according to tested recipes and guidelines; desserts, breads, salads.
• Serves food timely and attractively in proper utensils; handles special diets.
• Keeps kitchen and equipment cleaned and sanitized; follows sanitation procedures.
• Assists with dietary paperwork and, in the absence of the Dietary Director, may supervise staff.
