Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cooking in a commercial kitchen or healthcare dietary department.
• Must read, interpret, and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of nutrition and diet management for regular and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare foods corresponding to menus and diet plans.
• Cook meals in institutional quantities served at proper temperatures and times.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assist with trays, cleaning and storage.
• Participate in inventory ordering and receiving of stock.
• Maintain sanitary food prep and storage areas in accordance with regulations.
