Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. This PRN role covers morning shifts from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, focusing on preparing meals and ensuring nutritional needs for residents are met.

The position emphasizes team collaboration, safety, and high-quality food service in a healthcare setting. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and experience in healthcare food service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes to recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
