Fountain View Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to prepare meals according to menus and recipes in a healthcare setting.
The role emphasizes portion control, quality, safety, and teamwork with the Dietary staff to meet resident needs—while maintaining cleanliness and following policies.

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
Ensure proper portion control, food quality, and presentation
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas
Assist with inventory, food storage, and rotation procedures
Work collaboratively with the Dietary team to meet resident needs
Communicate respectfully with residents and staff
Treat residents, families, and coworkers with dignity and respect
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Follow all Fountain View policies and procedures
Support a team‑oriented and resident‑focused culture
Complete assigned duties efficiently and consistently
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long‑term care, or institutional food service preferred
Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
