Sunset Senior Living in Quincy, IL seeks a Cook to prepare meals for the Dietary Department in accordance with established policies and regulations. You will ensure palatable, properly portioned meals and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen daily.

You will assist in plating resident meals, serve in the Main Dining Room, and perform dishwashing and routine cleaning. Prior dietary or food service experience is preferred and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate is desirable.

Competenze

• High school education or equivalent required.
• One year dietary experience preferred.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate required or willing to take class.

Mansioni

• Review menus prior to food preparation and allocate time to tasks.
• Prepare meals per standardized recipes and ensure proper portion control.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets as indicated by planned menus.
• Keep the work area clean and assist in routine cleaning duties.
• Assist in plating resident meals following order sheets and serve in Main Dining Room.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures to keep utensils and tables ready for next meal.
• Prepare snacks and handle other duties as directed by the department manager or Administrator.
