Job Summary: We are hiring a Full-Time Evening Cook to join our dietary team at a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for preparing and serving meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs while ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve meals according to menus and dietary guidelines
  2. Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and food temperatures
  3. Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
  4. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  5. Maintain a clean kitchen and assist with routine cleaning tasks
  6. Prepare special diet and texture-modified foods
  7. Assist with food storage, labeling, and inventory
  8. Support the dietary team to ensure timely meal service

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2+ years of cooking experience in large-scale or healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and infection control
