Job summary

MediLodge of Tawas City is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our resident-focused foodservice team. New wage range starts at $19.85 to $21.79 per hour, with daily, weekly, or bi-weekly pay options through UKG Wallet.

Responsibilities include preparing meals to meet therapeutic diets, maintaining safety and sanitation, and collaborating with care staff. Requirements: high school diploma or GED, six months of large-quantity cooking experience, and ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of tenth grade or higher; GED or HS diploma preferred.
• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
• Six months of large quantity food preparation experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus and prepares meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diets.
• Prepares and portions food safely following established procedures.
• Ensures meals are served at proper temperatures and presented attractively.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and follows sanitation guidelines.
• Assists with special events and adjusts menus for residents’ needs.
