Wexford House in Kingsport, TN is hiring a compassionate Dietary Cook and Aide to join our care team. You will help prepare meals, follow nutrition guidelines, and support residents with daily dining needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established food procedures and policies.
• Complete required forms and reports for the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing a food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, bedtime snacks, and substitute meals as needed.
• Maintain stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment.
• Protect patient confidentiality of health information (PHI).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager or VP of Nutritional Services.

Dietary Cook And Aide Position Summary

As a Dietary Cook and Aide at Wexford House, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Dietary Cook And Aide Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
