Job summary

Wexford House in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook and Aide to join the care team. You will assist in preparing meals, serving residents, and maintaining kitchen and dining area sanitation in a timely manner.

This full-time position requires a High School Diploma and ideally 1 year of dietary or food service experience, with a friendly, reliable, and team-oriented approach in a family-like setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or preferred.
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
