Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon is currently seeking a Cook for our Long Term Care Facility.

General Summary of Work of the Cook:

Works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Culinary Services, in the preparation, serving, and storage of meals in accordance with printed menus, standardized recipes, special dietary requirements, and state/federal and local regulations.

Principle Tasks of the Cook:

Essential Functions

• Preparation of daily meals according to menu plan, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Able to manage portion control, ensuring proper preparation of foods to meet individual needs.
• Demonstrates close attention to detail.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Maintains a working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food preparation, serving, delivery, and storage.
• Maintains kitchen safety and infection control principles.
• Able to communicate appropriately with residents, family members, facility staff, and external parties.

Qualifications of the Cook:

• At least one year of applicable experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations.
• Must be capable of regular attendance.
• Must meet all local health regulations, including criminal background checks and references.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
