Job summary

CareOne at Sharon in Sharon, MA is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents in a healthcare setting. This role involves cooking a variety of foods in large quantities and delivering quality food service in accordance with established standards.

The position offers both full-time and part-time shifts (6:00 AM–2:00 PM and 6:00 AM–1:30 PM). Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience and shift/differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility, preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook meals in accordance with federal, state and local standards andCareOne policies.
• Prepare and portion meals to meet menu and dietary requirements.
• Assist Head Cook or Director of Food Services as directed to assure quality food service.

Full Time- 6:00AM-2:00PM

Part Time- 6:00AM-1:30PM

$20.00 to $28.00

Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, scheduled shift, and, if applicable, differentials related to a specific shift(s)/and or day(s)

The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
