Job summary

CareOne in Sharon, MA is seeking a Cook to prepare meals that meet health and safety standards and patient preferences. The role supports the resident dining program and requires the ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year dietary experience in hospital or facility preferred.
• Able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, to assure quality food service at all times.
• Assist Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services as directed to maintain high standards of service.

$21.00 to $28.00

Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, scheduled shift, and, if applicable, differentials related to a specific shift(s)/and or day(s)

The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility, preferred
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.
