AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our team in a resident-focused facility. The role focuses on preparing and cooking high-quality foods for regular and modified diets, in compliance with State Health Rules and facility standards.

Walk-ins are welcome daily, with competitive compensation and benefits including Daily Pay, 401k with match, PTO, and family health insurance. Prior healthcare food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple diets and modified diets per residents' nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs workers in meal prep and service.

The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards. • Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications for Dietary Cook:
