Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated, full-time Cook to join our culinary team in Salinas, CA.

Job Overview

• Full-Time Cook
• $21.63-22.00 per hour
• Friday through Tuesday (Fixed days off: Wednesday and Thursday)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to prescribed therapeutic diets and textures.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served timely, hot, and presented beautifully for our residents.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and proper food storage.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a healthcare, senior living, or high-volume commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to work reliably on weekends (Friday-Sunday).
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
• Compassion for the elderly and a commitment to quality service.
