Job summary

St.-James-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcare-Center is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team, offering daily pay. The role focuses on preparing meals that meet federal, state, and local standards under the supervision of the Food Services Director.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic food preparation, therapeutic diets, and the ability to follow written and oral directions while interacting professionally with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Basic understanding of following step by step procedures.
• Follows and understands written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

We are looking for a talented and hard-working Dietary Cook to join our ever-growing team.
