Job summary

Rocky Mount Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated dietary aide to prepare meals for residents in accordance with prescribed diets and health regulations. You will work under the Food Service Director's supervision to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of food safety basics, and the ability to meet state food-handler requirements. Shifts are 5am-1:30pm, full-time, wage $15.00-$17.00 per hour, with a robust benefits package available.

  • GED guidance and resources provided to help earn it.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diets and safety policies.
  • Maintain health, sanitary and infection-control standards.
  • Follow community dietary procedures and policies.
  • Assist under supervision of the Food Service Director to ensure quality meals.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent is required.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

  • Must meet and remain current with state specific requirements for food handler training.

Shift and Wage:
  • Full-Time Opportunity Available

  • Shift: 5am-1:30pm

  • Wage: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
