Job summary

Garden Springs Healthcare in Ohio is seeking a Dietary Aide with prior long-term care experience to assist in meal service, sanitation, and daily kitchen tasks. The role requires availability every other weekend and at least one year of LTC experience.

You will help prepare meals, observe portion control, assist in cleaning, and support the Dietary Director with food supply and safety practices. This on-site position offers paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in long term care.
• Previous long term care experience required.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals palatable and attractive in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary, observing sanitation/safety requirements.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Clean dirty dishes, utensils, pot, pans etc.
• Return clean items back to proper storage areas.
• Follow established cooking guidelines.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN LONG TERM CARE SETTING REQUIRED

MUST BE AVAILABLE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

• Serve Meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Assist in serving meals as necessary, observing sanitation/safety requirements.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works in well light areas.
• Subject to frequent interruptions.

• Subject to sudden temperature changes.
