TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta, AL, is hiring a Dietary Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents. You will work with the kitchen team to follow recipes, support menu planning, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment.

Prior kitchen experience is preferred and training is provided. We offer a benefits package and flexible shifts, including part-time and full-time positions, with a focus on a warm, homelike atmosphere for residents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the dietary manager or supervisor to plan menus that meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
• Assist with kitchen cleanliness and maintenance to uphold sanitation standards.
• Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure sufficient supplies for meal preparation.
• Provide assistance during special events or activities organized within the facility to ensure a memorable dining experience for residents.
• Participate in educational programs on nutrition to enhance knowledge and skills.

As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in our Dietary Department, working closely with our kitchen team to prepare and serve high-quality meals to our residents. Prior experience in a kitchen setting is preferred, and training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities of a Dietary Cook:

• Preparation of nutritious meals, snacks, and beverages following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Cooking and serving meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborating with the dietary manager or supervisor to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
• Assisting with kitchen cleanliness and maintenance to uphold sanitation standards.
• Monitoring food inventory levels and placing orders as needed to ensure sufficient supplies for meal preparation.
• Providing assistance during special events or activities organized within the facility, such as holiday meals or themed dining experiences, to ensure a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
