Job summary

Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Cook to stock, prepare, and serve meals for clients and staff in our behavioral health facility. The role emphasizes compassionate interactions with residents and adherence to special diets and safety standards.

This on-site, full-time position includes an on-call schedule. Crestwood offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within California’s Crestwood facilities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma desired.
• Previous institutional Cook/Chef experience desired.
• Understand the basic principles of therapeutic and texture modified diets and properly serve foods designated for these diets.
• Experience supervising food service staff desired.
• Must know proper health code sanitary techniques in all food service areas, including safe temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Stock, prepare, and serve food to the appropriate number of clients and staff.
• Interact at all times with clients and facility staff in a caring and professional manner.

• Understand the basic principles of all common facility therapeutic and texture modified diets and properly serve foods designated for these diets.

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.
