Job summary

STRATFORD VILLA POST-ACUTE in Livermore, CA is seeking a passionate Cook for our Dietary Department. You will prepare a variety of meals in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with dietitians and nursing staff, and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences.

We value teamwork, reliability, and attention to sanitation. Full-time and part-time splits are available; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and paid orientation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dietary Aide/Kitchen and Cook is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or hospitality settings as dietary aide/kitchen/cook is a plus.
• Interest in geriatric population.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Ability to prepare meals per dietary restrictions or special needs.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Cook who is skillful in food preparation and who can work in a fast-paced environment with a pleasing personality and the ability to work in a team for our Dietary Department

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
• Ensure all food is presented in an appealing manner and meets health and safety standards
• Assist in menu planning and development to provide a variety of nutritious options
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
• Collaborate with dietitians and nursing staff to accommodate special dietary requirements
• Provide training and support to kitchen staff and support personnel
• Keep accurate records of food preparation and meal services for compliance and quality assurance

Qualification:

• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide/Kitchen and Cook is a preferred
• Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospitality setting as a dietary aide/kitchen, or cook is a plus
• Interest in working with the geriatric population
• Food Handler Certification
• Ability to prepare meals in accordance with specific dietary restrictions or special needs
