Job summary

Lebanon Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents in a compassionate, safe, and hygienic environment. You will follow established menus and policies while ensuring timely service and high-quality food for residents with special dietary needs.

The role requires patience, tact, and the ability to work as part of a team in a healthcare setting. This full-time position is on-site at our Lebanon, TN facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Willingness to handle difficult residents.

Dietary Cook

We are looking for a talented and hard-working Cook to join our ever-growing team.

JOB DUTIES:

To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Basic understanding of following step by step procedures.
• Follows and understands written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
