Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. We are looking for a resident-focused, team-oriented cook with the ability to prepare nutritious meals and modified diets for residents.

This is a hands-on kitchen role in a caregiving facility that values collaboration and quality food service. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, experience in a health care setting, and the ability to lead and coordinate staff in meal preparation and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
