AVIR Health Group is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our residential facility team. You will prepare and cook high-quality foods for residents, guests, and employees, ensuring meals meet modified diet requirements and nutritional needs.

We are seeking a team-oriented cook who can adapt recipes, test menu items, and supervise kitchen staff while maintaining quality, safety, and consistency across meals. This role supports a patient-centered care culture with competitive benefits and family-focused

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality foods for residents, guests, and staff.

• Adjust recipes to yield required servings.
• Test recipes and suggest improvements.
• Cook in batches while maintaining quality and appeal.

We are searching for a Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards. Responsibilities for Dietary Cook:

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications for Dietary Cook:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
