Job summary

Green-Hills-Center-For-Rehabilitation-and-Healin is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our compassionate foodservice team. You will prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and our policies to ensure quality nutrition for residents.

Ideal candidates can follow written and oral directions, work independently when needed, and interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff. Day-to-day duties include precise food preparation and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Basic understanding of following step-by-step procedures.
• Follows written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety in the workplace.

We are looking for a talented and hard-working Cook to join our ever-growing team.

JOB DUTIES:

To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Knowledge of elderly, ill and/or disabled.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Basic understanding of following step by step procedures.
• Follows and understands written and oral directions.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
