Dietary Cook Job Summary:

The Dietary Cook prepares and provides food services to residents in a cost-efficient manner, ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

1. Prepare and serve meals for residents and staff according to food safety regulations and dietary recommendations.
2. Maintain high standards of food preparation, sanitation, storage, and portion control.
3. Determine food and supply needs for daily menus and obtain supplies timely.
4. Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, preserving quality, temperature, and appearance.
5. Assist in scheduled cleaning duties following sanitary standards.

Other Duties:

• Participate in departmental studies and projects as assigned.
• Represent the facility at meetings as required.
• Assist in standardizing work methods.
• Perform other essential functions as assigned.
