Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Diet Clerk to provide a high quality dining experience for patients by meeting nutritional requirements and service expectations on food quality.

The role requires fluent English, the ability to process orders efficiently, and certification requirements within Illinois facilities. High school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior food service experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English required.
• Certified Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire (Illinois).

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality dining experience while meeting nutritional requirements and service expectations on food quality.
• Ensure accurate order processing and timely service to patients and staff.
• Maintain clean and safe dining areas in accordance with policy.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Diet Clerk will provide a high quality dining experience to those we serve by meeting nutritional requirements and service expectations on food quality.

Salary

Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Licensure/ Certifications: Certified Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire for facilities in Illinois.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 6 months in food service and/or health care food service
• Other Skills/Knowledge: Basic computer operation experience
• Prior order processing system experience.
