Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Dietary Aide to obtain patient menu selections, verify dietary orders, and coordinate with dietitians, nursing staff, and food service teams. You will help ensure accurate trays and timely meal delivery for patients of all ages.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, with a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience in nutrition or customer service and a Certified Dietetic Technician credential are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
• One year experience in nutrition or customer service preferred
• Certified Dietetic Technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient menu selections consistent with current diet order and any cultural or individualized requirements or requests.
• Utilizes required computerized reports at each meal to check tray tickets before meal service and makes corrections as per diet orders.
• Obtains daily reports of patients/residents receiving nourishments, tube feedings, and supplements; may assist in gathering and delivering products as needed.
• Assists with assembling and delivering patient/resident meals.
• Performs other related duties as required.
