Dietary Assistant / Bear Creek

To assist in the preparation, cooking, service, and sanitation of food and kitchen areas.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift 20 lbs regularly; minimum 40 lbs; pull 25 lbs; squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Use hands to handle objects; stand and walk regularly.
  • Proficiency in CPR required.
  • Vision: close, distance, peripheral.
  • Talk and hear.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in food prep, service, and delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and areas.
  • Perform cleaning and organize storage areas.
  • Deliver food throughout the facility as needed.
  • Prepare and serve quality, sanitary, timely food.
  • Serve food according to diet orders.
  • Maintain sanitation standards.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance assessments.
  • Adhere to personal cleanliness and conduct standards.
  • Work independently.
  • Prepare/cook food per standards and nutritional guidelines.
Education and Experience:
  • HS diploma or G.E.D.
  • Food service experience preferred.
