Job summary

Providence Swedish First Hill is seeking a part-time Food Prep team member to prepare food using standard recipes, plating guidelines, and to meet production schedules while following health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include processing food items, proper utilization and storage of supplies, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and organized. Prior experience in a full-service operation and a valid National Food Handler Card are required.

  • 1 year of related food preparation experience in a full-service operation (hotel or restaurant) where the majority of products were prepared on the premises from fresh ingredients.

Description

This position is responsible for preparing food products utilizing basic and advanced cooking techniques, standardized recipes and plating guidelines, meeting production schedules in accordance with health, safety, and sanitary procedures. Responsible for processing food items, ensuring proper utilization and storage of food and supplies and for maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and work areas. Performs related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
